What: 16x 20′ screened porch. continuously wrapped screen. not individual panels. Yeah, thats one long roll of screen.
4×4 posts, typical bottom and tops
HO wants do simplify his life and make it all maintainance free.
Build or buy the individual screen panels (Just like this months Fine Homebuilding)
And wrap those 4×4 posts with something maintainance free.
What do you recommed to wrap those post with. Azec’s material? something like Meritec?
HO has already accepted my bid to just repaint and rescreen, but he’s laid it on the table that if i were to solve his problem… he’d go the more expensive way.
at least he hinted he shell out the extra dollars. I think I could make the sale easily.
Just gotta come up with something that sizzles.

Well Azec would be good if the buildup isn't a problem, 4x4's with 1-1/2" of Azec wrap would be "substantial". The 1/2" sheet good are not as easy to work with but will hold up the same after instillation.
Are you planning to use Screen Track or something similar? You could dado spline groves into the Azec and apply an edge molded Azec cap, that would be sharp.
Keep us posted.

Damn FHB isn't here yet.
This in stained cedar. Routed spline groove as G posted. No screen mldg to lift curl and separate. In azek, don't know but would think it would work. Azek or koma wraps posts nice. Staining cedar isn't maint free, but easier than scraping/painting to some. A couple pics to get your creative juices flowing.
