I recently had a house fire and we had to seal the interior walls with a pigmented shellac sealer. I had to remove drywall in several areas and seal the stud bays as well as the exterior sheathing that was now exposed in the interior stud bays.
My concern is this: when I go to replace the insulation with kraft faced insulation will I be trapping moisture in the wall cavity that may migrate into the wall from the warm air meeting the cold air that comes in from the exterior sheathing. I am concerned with the fact that I have sealed the inside of the wall and moisture can no longer escape through the OSB exterior sheathing. I.E. two vapor barriers.
Perhaps the walls are not as tight as I think, even after sealing and they will continue to breathe.
I have considered applying a radiant barrier paint to the interior drywall to block heat from getting into the wall.
Does anyone have an opinion and a solution.

The pigmemted shellac should not cause any problems..it is not THAT impermeable..
