I’m a tile installer looking for someone that knows how to seal saltillo with beeswax. I have a client interested in the uneven finish and feel of beeswax – anyone out there got any clues ? I’ve done about every commercial sealer on the market, both water and solvent based.

For some of my wood turning projects I finish with a turpentine/beeswax mix. Looks real purty, but dries to a low luster as the spirits evaporate. Could you do something like this, out of a Hudson sprayer?
I myself attempt to discourage customers from using wax on a tile floor, even saltillos. The finish is rather high maintenance and always sticky. Not bare foot-friendly. Does your man understand he'll have to polish regularly?
Perhaps you could add a hardener--don't know what material--to the last coat after the previous coats have been buffed to submission.
