Hi, I’m looking for a great carpenter/framer/siding/exterior trim person, for a new construction project in Yamhill County just south of Portland Oregon. The project is a home on acreage, Federal/colonial farmhouse, similar to homes built in the early pioneer phase of Oregon settlement. Thanks in advance for your response!

Move your project to Louisiana and I would be glad to help. Watch them alligators.......
*Hi Sherry, to bad your so far away.(IL) I do travel for the right price though. Did work in Cundys Harbor Maine last year. Nice project right on the water.
*Sherri, I'm an avid period home restoration contractor, my fiancee' is a house painter, specializing in the same here in Canada near Toronto. We build new houses & period additions (complete with the 'tique floors, doors, hardware) We travel but theirs a border between us neighbor.too bad that's not a free trade's' border.
*See Jon Carter or Jim Blodgett
*mr. egan ,just recieved our new copy of fhm , logged on to breaktime and sawyour message to the young lady about her restoration project. my husband and i talk a lot about how regional differences bear onthis industry. quite frankly i've never incorporated the whole freetrade issue into my thinking as it relates to this feild we've all chosen. interesting.i can't get past the assanineness(?) of our state government not giving local contracts, i. e. low income (it's called section 8 housing here) apartment projects to out of state builders. when we arebeating the door down. it's the old "first dibbs" quandry.anyway, i thought it would be nice to meet another couple that makestheir mark on the world in the same way we do. chris and i have beenworking together for several years now and learn something new every-day.okay, chris is reaming me about (nafta) how does that effect us low level north americans?we would love to talk to you guys about the business and especially the differences. maybe we could learn something from eachother. looking forward to hearing from you, joyce bowley
