you could try a product called feather finish from ardex engineered cements.
it's a portland based product that can be poured for a 1/2" to feather edge. if you let skim over usually 15 to 25 min. you can trowel it fairly smooth like concrete. they also have a 2 part primer for this product that forms a better bond.
Hey Jim thanks alot , Im just worried about cracking and crumbling over time , Can you nail through this product ! I've used basic floor leveler many times but hesitate to use it in fear of it cracking , I think I am looking for a product that has a rubbery or elatic texture to it ! I just went to some hardwood floor website and the guy uses asphalt shingles to level dips cause they will never breakdown ,especially indoors out of the elements and you can nail through them ! Sound like a great idea for what I need I think it will work perfect for my application but I invite any ones comments! thanks again Jim Magnus
