Quick question about lining a sewer pipe rather than replacing. I was searching, months ago, for a product called “Form-a-Drain,” which is a concrete footing form and integral drain system. In the process of the google search, I ran across something that I thought I remembered was called “Form Drain.” It was a plastic insert that was heat welded to the inside of a clay sewer pipe. This was done in lieu of replacing the pipe, hence saving you tons of money since you don’t have to dig up and replace and such.
Well, now I can’t find anything on that product. Does anyone know of anything like it?

Spelled the same and everything. Sorry.
Thanks. I might look into that myself. I had a silver maple taken down due partially to the roots in my sewer. Silver Maples are about useless trees near a house for a whole bunch of problems. I think the clay pipes may have suffered some physical damage from roots, so this liner may be the ticket.
we've never used it, but i certainly would like to find out more about it.
i talked with a roto-rooter guy a few weeks ago who told me his office can provide the service. i asked him how the process would work if during the lining of the pipe they came upon a Y fitting from another lateral. he said the liner would close the hole in the fitting, but that he wasn't entirely sure about it, since he wasn't one of their installers. i'm still waiting for his boss to call me with further info.
