I’m building a one room cabin with a 10-in-12 roof pitch using 14’rafters. The cabin is 20’long with a 4’front overhang to cover an open porch. I intend to have a 16″ gable overhang at the rear. My question is this; Since the 24’section can be easily sheathed with full and half sheets of plywood, can I sheath the rear overhang with ripped 16″ widths of plywood without compromising structural integrity?
