Am installing a vent/light in the shower. The 4″ pipe runs straight up into the attic (unconditioned space) and out the roof. What should the pipe be insulated with? Is one thing better that the other. How thick. Will standard pipe insulation from the hardware store be fine? Any feedback for this simple question will be appreciated.

I don't think it makes a lot of difference what you insulate it with.
Just so it keeps the moisture out of the conditioned space.
Thanks for the reply. Much appreciated.
