Had a client bring me a skylight curb he wanted me to install flashing on so he could install it in a flat seam copper roof. The curb is constructed of 2x and all four sides are tapered. I inquired about this and he told me it goes on a hip. When I asked him how that is possible he got pissy and told me he’d done his homework and knew what he was doing. No skin off my butt but, I’m curious how this is possible. The curb is about 4’x7′ going on a low pitched roof and from looking at the curb, the hip goes from left top corner to bottom right corner. Any of you framer cats done something like this before?

No, but I can see how it is possible. Would love to see a pic.
