The tree limbs have got to go.
The home maintenance has gotten away from me and now I have spider poop all over the natural redwood and cedar clapboards.
Clapboards have been previously coated with a transparent oil.
Will a tsp wash take care of this or is there something else stronger that can be recommended?
Thanks.

Have the same problem, the NH4 is something I've not tried. Let me know if it works. A 3000 psi pressure washer doesn't touch it without taking the paint with it, which leads me to think that it is a chemical reaction with latex paint - the brown paint is Parker paint, been on for 16 years with no problems other than the spider streaks.
Attached is a pix of my 'spider poop', only way I've found is to repaint (every 2 months is not an option!)
If that is spider poop, I'd hate to se the size of the spiders! Make tarantulas look like pygmys!
DonThe GlassMasterworks - If it scratches, I etch it!
Spider source by elimination - occurs only in corners where there are observed spider webs above. Not birds or squirrels - know what that looks like only too well.
Any suggestions as to the cause other than spiders?
Moths and other insects..
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming.... WOW!!! What a Ride!
I have had pretty good luck on painted and vinyl siding with a product called ZEP Multipurpose Cleaner/Degreaser. Believe I got it a HD.
Mixed 4:1 in pump up garden sprayer, spray an area and I use a long handle fender brush to scrub, then rinse with a hose.
Zep only cost about $4.00/gal when I got it several years ago. Bought 5 gal., cause I figured if I found something that worked, it would be weaken or pulled off the shelf for some bs reason.

Just what are you feeding those spiders? Have you tried something with a little less fiber?
Ok, I'm gonna have to go take a pic of my place now.
We'll have a 'spider poop' contest.be dead on or that quarter inch is going to haunt you
try 'chlorox outdoor' formula. it's part bleach, part tsp, part detergent, etc. seems to work for pretty much everything around here. be sure to soak wall with hose first, then spray on solution (no pressure washer- just 2-3 gal pump sprayer) then scrub brush on the stubborn spots. have fun! (makes your house smell like the ymca pool for a couple days)
