Has anyone had experience putting fiber optics into a poured concrete deck to get a starfield under foot? Disney did that at Epcot and it’s very impressive.

So how do you think you'd do that? The light travels from the source through thin plastic fibers. If you installed them first and then poured concrete around them, how would you finish the concrete? If you first poured the concrete and then installed the fibers, you'd have to drill lots of little holes in the concrete, and you'd have to have access to the underside of the slab to run the fibers.
BTW, Outwater Plastics (http://www.outwater.com) sells a kit intended to make a starfield in an interior ceiling. Perhaps you can use it as a starting point for your version.
