I took a quick look ay their web site,,,, they sell all kinds of stuff. Nice web site too. I did not ( during a quick look) come across any specs on the feed water. However, I would assume you want low dissolved solids and a Ph above 7, and I would guess if you are on city water, and the water is out of lake michigan, you should be OK.
How often do you have to clean out your tea kettle???????? Same idea.
