My wife and I are wanting to build our first home from a steel frame kit. The problem is that we have no experience with home building and the local contractors are busy with the big expensive homes that are going up in the area and don’t have time for the small stuff. I have had appointments to meet with plumbers and a mason at the site and neither one showed up. Most contractors don’t even return phone calls around here (North Central Oklahoma). I would like feedback on the difficulty of erecting a steel fram home versus a conventional wood frame home and cost comparison if anyone has an idea.
