I’m in the process of installing a deck.   The deck is typical but the ground below slopes abruptly.   The customer wants steps running all around the deck (her after-thought).   Unfortunately the posts and framing are already in.   I’m not too keen on hanging steps from a cantilevered rim joist and the posts aren’t set in a fashion that I can catch any two of them.

It’s a pretty house and a demanding customer.
