Man I have used my stiletto aluminum handled hammer with the titanium head for a week now and man I love it. I did not want to spend $124.95 for a hammer but man it was worth it after a week of this thing. I was not sure I would like it being only 14oz but it hits like my old 24oz did and feels alot better in my hand all day long. If you are a framer and swing a hammer alot during the day I recommend this hammer to you.

You spent how much for a hammer? You must be a government agency!
*I wish they would make the new aluminum one with a smooth face. I love the wood handled one I have now. Keith C.PS. people who have never used these hammers would never understand. It is a well kept secret.
*If you stick frame houses ans swing a hammer alot you will like this hammer enough to spend that much on it. I havent heard anyone complain about the price after they use it for a day. Three of my men bought one after they used mine for ten minutes.john
*John, You must really like swinging a hammer. Let me get out the calculator and check, $125 X 3 = New Senco Framer. I think I'll keep the old Vaughan.
*Shakey Jake, If you had a Stiletto, you WOULD like swinging a hammer! Doug C.
*Doug i agree with you 100%. shakey jake must be to shakey to swing a hammer. Beside i have nail guns but you cant always use a nail gun you still always need a hammer and i wanted a good one.john feuer
*Pardon my earlier sarcasm, but $125 for a tool with no cord or hose is a lot of money to me. My use of 3 X equates to your three crew members. I'm old enough to remember when only the big crews had air equipment and have worked with older farts than me who not believe in pneumatic nailers. I guess they never realized the worse thing about an air gun with the idiot operating it. I don't frame much anymore but still use an air gun, my preference being SFN40 or SLP 20. I still hand nail my decking. I still prefer a wooden handle as opposed to a metal, rather solid or tubular. Oh and finaly, I didn't get the nickname because of lack of nerve or having the shakes, but the story behind that is personal.
*TO SHAKEY JAKE,Then i apolijize to you. I took that as you saying i was a dumby for spending that much for a hammer. I do stick frame houses every day and you can have all the nail guns you want you still need a hammer alot. I have nailers and staplers. I used a vaughan 24oz framing hammer for years before i bought this new aluminum handled stiletto and the wooden handles would break after a while or loosen up do to prying or everyday use. I looked for a steel handle for a long time and found none i liked until i saw this one from stiletto. They have a warrenty on it against difects and breakage. all i was trying to do was inform people about it that maybe never seen it yet. As for your name shakey jake i am sorry if i afended you i ment no harm in it (just as humor). Its just funny because i race a sprint car and one of my competitors nick name is shakey jake. john
*John, Watch out, you'll never know when I might run into you again!
*Jake explain your last post to me alittle better i am lost on it. why do i need to watch out???john
*John, Now, do you know which Shakey Jake to watch out for?
*No, why are you the shakey jake that drives a micro sprint? And if so why should i watch out for you? Also i am certainly man enough not to turn a post about a hammer into something personnell like you seem to want to do. So let it go i have better things to do.John
*john.... thanks for the info about the stilletto...the first time i heard about stilletto.... someone said OOOOPS , you should see what you get when you go looking for hammers on the internet.. and it took us to a porn site...hah, hah, hah..hey john.. i don't know shakey.. but just because he didn't post a sign don't mean he was't tongue-in-cheekin ya..lighten updon't look back.. he might be passin ya....
*John, Check your personal e-mail.
*Keith C FYI Stiletto does make the aluminum with a smooth face
*John,I have the Stiletto Titan with the hatchet handle in wood and don't want to switch back to my Hart Woody. Color me a Happy Camper. We were hoping someone would buy the new aluminum-handled Titan and bring it to the job so we could try before we buy. But...Where did you get yours?ToolBear
*Frank bought the 125 stilleto. I have the 65 wood stilleto.I'm sold.Incidently, my checkerdd face is almost smooth after a few months.blue
*Just bought my aluminum handled Stilleto.Very unique however this one isn't hitting a nail. Another great hammer for my collection.First welded aluminum hatchet handle I've ever seen. Very cool
*Bad news Boys: Frank's aluminum stilletto handle broke off!Now I'm having the last laugh. My wood stilletto handle is intact. He was just hitting something rather tamely too!It is under warranty, but I'd need a lifetime warranty if the handle is going to break every other month.blue
*Where and how did it break off?? just curious
*There's no good explanation Pro-Dek. He was tapping something and the head fell off. He's pissed, and I would be too.Let's hope it was an isolated incident, instead of more American planned obsolescence.blue
*Have Frank contact the President/Mark Martinez at http://www.stilettotools.com and I'm sure he would do something.
*There's no need to go that far PD. Our tool rep will replace it, as soon as we get him out there. I will say this however: my tennis elbow has all but disappeared. I can feel a very slight tenderness if I look hard to find it. My elbow was too sore to rest on my truck console for the last year, and it flared up bad when I switched to that Craftsman. The stilletto cured me completely and I'm sold for a lifetime. I'll buy a couple of spares to get me through retirement.blue
*Good deal Blue. Glad to hear your elbow is healing up. By the way, what the heck are you poundin so much to create all this pain?? Don't you guys use nail guns? Hammers are for bangin in that board you cut too long, and holding down you tool belt, don't ya know??
*Pro-dek I don't think anyone could pound any less than me. If I cut a board too long, I re-cut it. I only load a few spikes at a time and mostly just pick up the odd one or two and use them. I have nail guns for everything. It's tough getting old.blue
*The first time I swung an aluminum handled Stiletto I was sold. Had to have it. Period. I gave them my email address and told the guy at the trade show to let me know when they would be ready for sale. I didn't know it at the time, but that guy was the president of the company. He was just a regular guy. He was excited and confident about all of his hammers. Really into what he was doing. From that half hour meeting I felt totally confident that this guy was sincere. He would stand by his product. I needed to feel that way because the hammer was $124.00!! That's a lot of money for a hammer. I was given a date that the handles would be ready. I was anxious, so I called the company to inquire about the arrival date. My call was returned five minutes later by Joel Allen, their sales manager. I was shocked to say the least. When was the last time someone from Makita or Porter Cable called you? I was liking this! So, I get my hammer. Use it for a month or so, and it breaks. Bummer. I call Stiletto, anxious as to what they will say. Mark Martinez, the president, answers the phone and listens to my story. Within two seconds of hearing that my handle broke he offers to next day me a new hammer. A few of the handles had a problem, but they were aware, and were on it. Thank you! My boss and a co-worker both have the aluminum handles and they are FINE. They do not baby them either. So if you have any doubts about Stiletto, contact them. Talk to Joel or Mark and I'm sure you will find the answers you are looking for. One of my other co-workers has a saying that we all love to say: If you had a Stiletto, you would be home by now! Doug
