I have to insulate a stone house with 16inch thick walls. I plan to make 2by4 stud walls, fill with fibreglasss insulation, vapour barier (6 mil) and 1/2 inch gyprock. The question is: What to put, if anything, between the stone walls and the 2by4 walls? Should there be ‘black joe’ (ten-test) to stop moisture? Or will this create a double vapour barier situation? Any one done this before? thanks
