I am remodel a thirty-one year old architectural designed house that was constructed of slump block on one part of the house and board and batten on the rest. My question is can I stucco over both surfaces? Can I apply the stucco right over the two different surfaces or do I need to use some sort of mesh? How about adding a layer of insulation board?

Any help will be appreciated.
