Okay, so there I am installing a separate ground bar like a good boy after fighting a number 4 into position. Everythings all set and I’m moving the grounds off the neutral bar, get all done, step back and say hmmm how come I only have 1 white on the neutral bar when I’ve installed two circuits. Oh that’s right the steamer is a 220 so the white is on the other leg. Hey wait a minute now what do I have? Is this why they are putting 4 wires on 220v these days? Don’t tell me I have to pull a whole new 4 wire 10 guage thru two stories of ancient house…
p.s. I’m assuming it’s okay for the separate ground wire I just installed to be bare going from the main to the sub, since all that bx I have hanging around has the “ground” exposed.
