Thought I’d give Builders Solution a try on my current project (right at about 1000 sq ft of rock to prime in a kitchen addition). Whoa! After struggling to find a pail at one of the local SW shops, discovered that it was $155 retail but if I opened a commercial account the price droped to $110, still kinda pricey compared to 5 gal of pva primer! (most shops had no idea what it was–one guy told me to call Duron insisted that it was their product) Is it worth it? Anyone tried rolling it or is it best with the airless (hate to spray in remodel jobs–seems like no matter how good you mask off overspray still gets into finished areas) Well the guys are going to apply it tomorrow morning so we’ll see if it lives up to the hype.

Don't know if it's SW or Duron, but I'm not impressed with any water based Duron product. SW or BM is superior, I think.
Never heard of it. What's it supposed to do? I assume when you say pail you mean 5 gal.
I'm sorry, I thought you wanted it done the right way.
Ed,
I believe its a drywall primer that fills blemishes and will take a level 3 finish to a 4+. Needs to be applied with a sprayer, so I out on that.
BTW, ever install the wood floor where you were going to try to put your own micro-bevel on cut pieces? If so any pics?

Have not quite finished the subfloor ... I'm raising the floor about 5". Someone suggested using a block of wood and very fine sandpaper to break the edge, so I'm going to start with that and see how it works.
Not surprisingly, this project is growing. "While you're here, can you look at ..." Now they want to remove the carpet in the master BR and install wood. Other than moving the furniture, it should be easy. Looks like the carpet and pad were installed on the same subflkoor as the rest of the house, so the elevation should finish out the same.
I'm sorry, I thought you wanted it done the right way.
