I was wondering if anyone has one? Looks handy. Could be nice to have a framing square that folds up and fits in a tool box.
It claims to be a “5-in-1”:

I have one. I bought it for the angle cuts on copper hip and valley pans...it fits well with the 20 1/2 " flat width between the lock seams. For the treu square cuts I cut off a alum framing sq. for scribing my cut lines.
Thats really all I use it for. I can see where a framer might find it too "gimmicky".

I bought one and I am not sure if it will get used much I liked the ability to set up layout lines or repeat measurements but time will tell.

Looks like it might be a useful tool. I read it's review and the review of the kneepads and damn if I didn't buy some Patella knee pads. I'll soon see if they are any good.

Looks like that little allen wrench is guaranteed to get lost within the 1st week!

I bought the Framing Wizard one week ago...now where is that little Allen wrench? I am good at misplacing that kind of thing. In spite of the problem you mentioned, I've used the thing several times already. It has an advantage over normal framing squares, in that it hooks onto the edges of materials like a speed square or drywall square, but folds up and fits in the tool tote I use.I used it to indicate partition and shelf locations in cabinets I was assembling for accurate nailing without marking up the finished sides of the cabinets. Handy so far.
I bought it a few weeks ago. Looked like one of those clever tools that become indispensable. Haven't found a use for it yet, but I've been doing little odds and ends and design lately. Monday I start framing a new house--maybe I'll find a use for it there.
