The End. . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Mr. Engel,

Your issue of the official warning to me for the use of the phrase “fag ass” does seem a bit queer? Considering that the poster had threatened me with harm. . . I wonder should I have kissed him on the lips. Your really are one biased sob.

If you wish to ban me then do so. . . Every dictator needs an example, I can be yours.

It would be needless for me to say that I have absolutely no respect for you in any form whatsoever!

    Joe, my friend,

While there can be no doubt that there is a double standard, I think, rather I hope that its a result of Andy being caught up in the mob rule syndrome.

With all of these righteous postings, stirring up the natives, its a miracle that the entire board hasn't exploded.

We try an focus on construction, and the posts keep on coming to try an antagonise and derail that focus.

I'm cool with that and it doesn't deter me from continuing. I still enjoy coming up with good answers to peoples construction related problems.

Of course I'm a little more tenatious than most.

Was once cited for contempt 6 times at a hearing and still won the case.

    Hang in there buddy,

    Gabe

          1. Joe_Fusco_ | Nov 14, 2000 02:18pm | #5

            *Bob, Here's my answer. . . I emailed it.

Luka,I have no idea why you received that "zone alarm". I hope that your arenot suggesting that I'm trying to "tamper" with yours or anyone else'scomputer. That would be quite small of you in my opinion. The first question is what program issued the warning? Who is your ISP?Do you connect behind a firewall? Then again this can simply be a fabrication of yours to stir up trouble.

*Joe, for the past 3 years we've held forth on this board. You and I have never had unkind words, even in the midst of disagreement. That said, I should point out that Andy Engel is an Employee of Taunton Press. If he were the Owner, I'd say you've a valid point, but as an Employee he's had to do as told by the powers-that-be... or walk.If I were him, keeping food on the table would be Job One.

Don't even think it or I'll hunt you down.But...Andy is a good guy (having met him in person I believe I can attest to that) and if he asked you to chill out maybe you should, just a bit. Haven't you and I had this conversation before, my friend? ;-)Come on, now, behave, or I'll have to give you a D in "Plays well with others"...

*Damn, I'm a bit disappointed. I'm losing my best source for humor on this site.Fag ass does seem like a derogatory name however, and I do recall that name calling was a very specific reason for warning or ban. Sometimes stupidity stands in the way of rational thought. In this case I think stupidity won.Joe, you might as well pack it in. There isn't anyway in hell that you could continue posting and debating without some healthy doses of namecalling. I'm sure your Dr bills have escallated since the name calling ban was instituted. Why don't you leave a message where you intend to hang out so we can come and antaganize you over there. I'll be willing to go over there and watch your mathematical calculations, just to keep you on your toes.Besides, I don't get called a moron often enough.blue

Can't we get a new i nasty-that-we-all-love?Granted the "fag" word is funny whilst properly used in the company of queens, tramps, or queers, however, used in this forum of the status-quo, dominant white male as an insult, it might could be considered as calling a spade a n...... and we all know i that's not cool.clay "still love the JF" beeJust here to stir up trouble

*"It would be needless for me to say that I have absolutely no respect for you in any form whatsoever!"Despite your protestations to the contrary, Joe you obviously DID need to say it - and publicly - or you wouldn't have. Your calling Andy an sob is pretty sorry. You think Tauton has some moral obligation to spend $$ on this board so you have a place to behave badly? They can shut it down anytime for any reason, or NO reason. It is a privilege to participate here, not a right. Don't abuse it.

          19. Paul_Swanson | Nov 23, 2000 04:22pm | #23

*I want to compliment Andy on his willingness to take care of an unpleasant, but apparently necessary, chore. Any time someone sets a limit, there is ALWAYS someone who just HAS TO test that limit. This time it was Joe. If Andy hadn't acted this time, there would have been a next time and another until he did act. That is the nature of the game. Joe reaps what he has sown. Thank you Andy for not letting the inmates run the asylum.
