I am flying to another state to see my kids and 6 yo grandaughter for Christmas. GD found a bunch of leftover tile I left behind when we moved, mostly 1″ accent tiles, and made the comment to her mother that it would be fun to make something with the tile with pappy.
So whatdo we make? Tools will be very limited cuz I don’t plan to take anything, and daughter has some basic stuff. Maybe a hot pad for the table? Or a simple round table from Lowes for a nightstand?

Both of those are great ideas.
Coasters are a great project for kids too.
You can get cheap wooden serving trays at a craft store -- the kind with a raised wooden border. You can tile the base of the tray pretty easily. Made a bunch of these from leftover tile one year for gifts & they were a big hit.

I like that. And I can add rubber feet to the bottom."Put your creed in your deed." Emerson
