I just had a shower done about 3 months ago. It is marble walls on a mortar bed. Every so often you hear a “tink” coming from the bathroom . One day I was in the bathroom and it was coming from the shower stall. It sounds like hitting a porcelain coffee cup with a spoon…”Tink” …I think..(couldnt risist that one). Now I know the “tink” isnt from the sink…( he he). …I think the “tink” is from the marble. Is it coming loose? What is this sound I have found? Will my tile fall down and all around. ( sorry , I am on a roll). Is the tile expanding to and fro, what is next…I need to know. Nothing to worry about,..of no concern. Or did my tile man give me the burn. I really apologize for how this went….A poem was not my original intent.
OK OK enough of this play!! STOP!!!
the tink is for real and I was just wondering what it is
thanks

Are there heat ducts or perhaps HW pipes running in the walls or floor of that shower? Their expansion would make a nose. The tile themselves I would think would be more stable.

That little problem of yours comes from watching too much Princess Bride.
Stop it now. I meant it!
