rez | Posted in Tools for Home Building on September 3, 2005 02:41am

I knew I should have waited a while before I’d bought my impact.

    Don't go beating yourself up

Seems there are always better deals that come along after a purchase - such is life.

Why do you think the divorce rate is so high...LOLThe secret of Zen in two words is, "Not always so"!

When we meet, we say, Namaste'..it means..

I honor the place in you where the entire universe resides,

I honor the place in you of love, of light, of truth, of peace.

I honor the place within you where if you are in that place in you

and I am in that place in me, there is only one of us.

        I hear you there

Why does a divorce cost so much?

It's a rule I have for computer purchases, but it applies to tools too: When you buy something new, quit reading the ads for at least a week, maybe a month.

    Give yourself a break.

Unless where you bought the item has a money back offer if you find ####better deal, a very few do, or a very lenient return policy, possibly available through your credit card company but still pretty rare, there it no point to comparison shopping what you have just purchased.

Give yourself a break by purposely avoiding any advertisements or sales of a similar item. If you buy a computer avoid the computer ads for a couple of months. Looking at ads and comparing to what you just got is masochistic.

There is enough pain in most lives already. No need to heap on more without good reason. Unless your into that sort of thing. And if you are wouldn't it be less painful to just put out a few cigarettes on a forearm, rip a nipple off with a rusty pair of pliers or take a ball peen hammer to a toe like everyone else. Why be an overachiever in inflicting pain on yourself.

Yah, I just picked up that reciprocating saw for a hundred beans...nice saw, too. Ahh, the cost of doing biznez<G>

    "what's in a name?" d'oh!

    1. bil | Sep 05, 2005 07:40pm | #7

I went out and got me the Ridgid 12" sliding compound miter saw! Its more saw than I will ever need, but I won't need to shop for any thing else.

      1. DanH | Sep 05, 2005 08:34pm | #8

I dunno ... did you get a stand for it?

        1. bil | Sep 06, 2005 04:13am | #14

No.....I did not get the stand for my new saw......YET! I guess that I'll just have to go shoping again. Any suggestions on what stand to look at? I did put the saw through a shake down work out and built a temporary work stand out of  the old water bed frame.  I'm not sure how I posted under this " to quick on the trigger " It was supposed to be under something like " what tools have you bought lately " Sorry...but thanks for the replys!

I'm waiting on the impact driver/bulldog combo.

Get your tickets early for the George Paul Memorial SuperBull Event in Del Rio, Texas. This PBR sanctioned Bullriding event is the best party in Texas. Stock furnished by Bad Company Rodeo. And don't forget to visit the Corona Club in Cuidad Acuna, Mex.

I'm thinking the new Milwakee combo setup is going to be the way to go when they start putting in the third battery.

That does happen often.  They have twice had the free battery by mail with purchase of tool.  I got two drivers, six batteries by doing it twice.

        Hope this helps.  Rich.

But if I get the Milwalkee I won't need the Bosch boombox.

        Confounded decisions.
