Hey folks… I’m wondering of anyone knows of a hinge that will keep a door in either of two positions. Totally opened or totally closed.
I know there are hinges that do one or the other but I need one that does both for the same doors. Doesn’t seem like a difficult concept.
The problem I have is that my entry door from garage to house is adjacent to the door to the basement…. and sometimes when that basement door is partly open, the entry door from the garage will be blocked from opening more than 8 inches or so… plus it makes a loud bang when the collide…. and, oh yeah, aggravates me like nothing else.
Anyhow, there’s more than you needed to know… any help with this one?
When you’re this good, EVERYONE wants a crack at you!

If you can rearrange the doors so both door hinges are in the same corner, then one door would push the other shut. Can't help with hinges you are looking for. You could also change the basement door hinges to rising butt. These will make the door close slowly.
There are door closers that will lock open if push all the way open. Otherwise they will close the door.

A-holes. Hey every group has to have one. And I have been elected to be the one. I should make that my tagline.
