I’ve built a timberframe addition onto my house and am going to put down hardwood flooring. The subfloor is out of level enough, because of timber shrinkage over the years, that I need to level it before nailing down my hardwood flooring. Does anyone know of a nailable leveling compound or should I just use layers of plywood and rosin paper? I would appreciate any thoughts on this matter.
Thanks, Jim Luft
