Hello,

I have a client who wants to install vinyl siding over his existing fiber lap siding.  I,ve talked to the people at Kaycan vinyl siding and they don’t recommend this approach.  Improper installation voids the warranty.  However, this does not seem to deter some clients.  Has anyone done it this way; if so, what do you do about the uneven surfaces around windows/doors for J-trim. Are there any other problems one might run into. The windows will be built out and capped in aluminum.
