Just got great deal on a sweet Walker-Turner Jointer. A mere 50 bucks for this antique beauty. It has been sitting for years, yet I can hit the switch and it runs like a dream. It does, however, need a little work, and I am very interested in obtaining a repair/shop manual for it. I will try Delta, as I found out int the archives that Walker-Turner was bought out by Delta-Rockwell in the 60s or something.
In the meantime, any help anyone can offer would be appreciated.
Grazie.

I have an old Walker Turner sander that was bought used in my Dad's old shop. I was told that Walker Turner was bought out by Milkwalke or Millwalke/Delta in about 1945.
I rebuilt my sander about 20 years ago and I could not find anyone who had manuals for it then. I had to get custom parts made at a machine shop and order custome sized belts. It still works like a champ. If you find a source for a manual please let me know.
*You might try calling Don Peterson (206) 857-5088. He rebuilds machinery as a profession near Gig Harbor Washington. And if you are ever up this way, it's well worth a trip to see his shop. He has HUNDREDS of old woodworking tools, just waiting for someone to ask for them. Very cool place. - jb
*You ought to get in touch with Mr. Harold Barker. He has a list of about a billion antique catalogs and manuals for wood and metal working equipment. He also has a large number of parts, although I don't recall seeing any walker turner sander or jointer parts on his list. Contact info.:Harold Barker3108 Klingler RoadAda, Ohio 45810(419) 634-7328Hope this helps.Mike
