I’ve seen some wallboard (sheetrock) knockdown texture with each “gob” having sharp edges. Most knockdown texture that I’ve seen has rounded edges with a “wet” look. Looks kind of like snot that slid a ways down marble and stopped. How do I get that sharp-edged look? I have a texture gun and hopper. Thanks.

Pull it straight off the board with a trowel. You control the texture by how thin the mud is, and how much you apply.
If it had sharp edges, then it was probably knockdown texture that didn't get knocked down. After the texture is rolled on, normally you drag a mud knife over it to knowk off the peaks...just skip that step and let it dry.
Do it right, or do it twice.
