Any ideas area appreciated.

Better Holding power from a wider head
Won't that leave holes?
It may be what you are trying to bond it to. If you are going over painted wall, be sure it is clean. If the finish is glossy, sand it and then use a proper walpaper sizing or primer like Zinzeer Sheldz.
Use a "Border" paste if going over paint and "Vinyl over Vinyl" border paste if you are going over vinyl paper.
Be sure to paste and book the border and let it activate for the recommended time. I like to apply the paste with a paint brush to insure complete coverage and wet edges.

Thats God's way of telling you, Say no to wall-paper!
