I have question. I have just passed with my shear wall and fram inspection. My building inspector told me to go ahead and make the buillding water tight. So, my question is do I make it water tight? Where the sill plate meets the slab. Or does my stucco contractor seal it up? Thanks Hat

We always used sill seal, which is like a tough foam gasket, between the foundation and the sill. Sometimes alum. flashing too, but it sounds like your a little past that now. Maybe the spray foam? It will expand into voids well, then you need to trim it off. It sticks to *everything*.
Sounds like the "dry it in" expression used around here. It means to us put the roofing on, house wrap or tar paper, flashing details and install windows and doors to us. Also means you can start your rough electric and plumbing.

I have already used the gasket sill. But I have a little water that comes in around the foundation. I will try the foam in the can. Thanks Hat
If you are using stucco, there should be a flashing along the bottom edge beneath the wire and scratch coat also. The foam or caulk is a good idea, but the correct flashing detail will prevent the water from getting into thatsecond line of defense.

use Touch and Foam or any other product like that in a can.
It seals everything and anything....just keep it off your hands
Be sealed
