My deck (pressure-treated pine?) is about 10 years old and is starting to show its age. I asked a painter about weatherproofing it (I’ve done this once about 5 years ago) and he said that with the age and condition, staining the deck would offer more protection than weatherproofing it. Is this true, any suggestions? Thanks.
