Do you guys work on weekends? I do and do alot of paperwork on Sat or Sun. Guys say I am nuts but it helps keep me on schedule.
I may get burned out from it someday but for now, I am happy to have work!

"Half" a day every Saturday. Sometimes that "half" day runs to 3:00.
Sat-Sun is my time.
Maybe some paper work if I choose.
There is alot more to life than making money.

I do work on weekends when the schedule demands it.
Occupied commercial work especially. Yesterday as an example we were able to paint 39 metal door casings. This office has 65 employees and 13 dark rooms in a developing area. The dark rooms would have been out of the question during a five day work week and the balance is made easier by no employees around.
I have always enjoyed the ease and relative quiet on the weekend work site.
Bookwork usually gets done early in the morning. I read somewhere that you should book the first hour of your workday to take care of scheduling, returning calls etc.

Have no choice when it rains m-f or materials are not ready.
If it's OK with the HO, I'd work Xmas day, due to lost time from bad weather..I can have Xmas dinner when it's raining (G).

I'm at work right now, need to finish up some plans so the guys have work the next couple of days. Serious snowstorm, no outside work this week.
I used to work weekends a lot, both as a sole prop and as an employee, to try to meet deadlines. Now I try to keep weekends for DW, me, our house, and extended family/friends.
Like you though, I'm happy to have work right now, so I don't mind putting in a little extra effort to keep the clients happy.
I do when need be, but make a point of trying to avoid it.
We worked yesterday, full day. My helper pointed out on Friday that our next step was to go high and use full length materials, alot of flopping in the wind potential. And while Monday was to be pretty windy, Sat was to be nice and calm. So Sat it was. Also guaranteed getting an invoice in by end of day Mon instead of hope for Tues.
I was also planning on not working this Wed, be he checked and saw Wed is going to be the best weather we've had in a long time, so Wed it is too.
If you do poor scheduling and have to work every weekend, how do you make up time when time is of the essence? Having to work more than 40 hours on a regular basis is a sign of poor scheduling and bidding. Vic
