Hey Guys,
I’m going to be installing about 900 sq ft of laminate flooring for a friend, what kind of blade would you use? It seems like i’ve heard that it tears up good blades. I was planning on just using my everyday PC framing saw with a marathon blade. With shoe covering the edges, I figured a glass smooth cut wasn’t required. I’m just a framer in Illinois trying to get some work in out of the cold. February is sure cold this year. Thanks in advance.

Triple chip blades for laminates and plastics but they're not much good for anything else.
The laminates wear ATB blades fairly quickly but you might go with several "cheap" blades and don't expect to use them for anything after the laminate job is done.
If you're using a circular saw cut it face down if you're using a miter saw cut face up.

it usually is a blade a floor with laminate. since base is covering all the cuts circ with blade is fine. a higher tooth count is better.. 40 as opposed to 24 for framing.
