Im turning a garage into an apartment.
the building a slab with 10ft block walls&trusses
instead of furring the walls i built 2×4 walls &stood
them against the block, thinking i could insulate better.
a friend told me i shouldnt use fiberglass insulation
against block walls(moisture)if this is true whats best
to use in this situation?

FG can work if you can keep it from wicking moisture. Thats one rationale for keeping stud walls stood out from the concrete or block. You can put a continuous VB on the back side and use unfaced batts in your bays. If you're already too late for that, consider closed cell foam.
