I have two bathrooms to finish with wainscoting 48″ high around the entire room. I can use ply bead or v-groove paneling for the wainscoting itself, but what I’d like is some suggestions for how to make a nice cap out of stock moldings. I don’t want to add a lot of thickness; I’m using Adams casing around doors and windows, which is 1-1/6″ thick on the outside. I’m considering using 2-1/4 colonial casing around the top capped with a narrow stool, but I just wondered if someone had a nicer idea.
Thanks.
