where to find 10″ 3/4 arbor saw blades.
i have a old [1950’s ]atlas table saw that was my dads and is a pretty good table saw,so i’d like to keep it around. but the problem is it takes a 3/4 arbor saw blade. i have found places that will special order me a 3/4,but to tell you the truth,4 blades and i could buy a pretty nice new saw, usally in about the 100. per blade range.
plan b is buy a 1″ arbor blade and get a 3/4×1″ bushing,i can get these pretty reasonable on ebay.
but i would prefer to have the real deal, anyone know where to go?
i have to laugh that the original advertising for this saw that the “bigger arbor” was a selling point, because it was stronger. if you have any info on these saws i’d like to hear that also,it was dads pride and joy for many years.
thanks larry

I can check tomorrow and find out a better answer but most blade makers (I deal with Amana pretty regular) will bore it any way you want for a pretty nominal fee.
How much that fee really is I'll call Vicky and ask for ya. I'm going to be surprised if its anything significant. (But I've been wrong before, just ask my wife)

Forrest charges $11.00 to have it done as part of a sharpening job on a used blade.
They used to bore a new blade for free. There isn't any information on the website, so you would have to call or email to find out for sure.
The Forrest blades are expensive, but are definitely a high end blade, with thick, high grade carbide that can be sharpened many times.
Almost forgot. For more information try the old wood working machines site. http://www.owwm.com/ You might even find a pdf of the manual there.

went to that site and dug around a little, found the parts manuel and operating manuel.
looks like 150.00 in the 50's would buy you a new unisaw with no problem, someone mentions that atlas made the unisaw for delta????? thanks larryif a man speaks in the forest, and there's not a woman to hear him,is he still wrong?
Mornin Larry. FWIW Amana says they'll rebore any of their 10" blades to a 3/4" arbor for $35. More than I expected, but it can be done.Real trucks dont have sparkplugs
thanks for checking,i did a little cruiseing around for amana blades, looks like they run in the 50-75 range. if i don't come up with something cheaper i may just do that and really take care of the blade! can't be sawing nails with a 100.00 blade. thanks larryif a man speaks in the forest, and there's not a woman to hear him,is he still wrong?
