The other day I was on a job where I needed a nail gun but didn't have a compressor. I knew there was good water pressure at the site, so I hooked the air hose up to a faucet, put on some rubber boots and went to work. When I got back to the shop I ran some oil through the nail gun and that sucker is as good as new. Anybody else tried this?
*Hmmm, my last air nailer cost me almost four hundred dollars. They're specifically designed to run off of compressed air. I don't think that I need to say anything else - Nick
*Don't try to bs a bs'er.Blue
*Saaay, I'll bet you could predrill a hole thru your work, and get one of your helpers to inhale forcibly thru that hole while inserting an ordinary common nail from the other side. The negative pressure generated should be sufficient to drive that nail home.I also hear there's a sucker born every minute.
*Where's that board stretcher?Jeff
*The other day I needed to nail some stuff so I fired up the compressor and reached for my trusty Senco. Then I realized I don't own a Senco...or any other nailer for that matter. So I opened the ancient wooden box in the garage and removed a prehistoric antique. Gently I wiped away the fine coating of saw dust viewed my prize from the past. Yes, it was a (drum roll please) a hammer. We in the real world use a hammer to drive nails when the machinerey isn't available. Those of us with some eye hand coordination even hit the nail two out of three times. I suggest you buy a hammer before one of your clients sues you for water damage.
*what we do on my crew when we need extra air pressure is stick our hoses up our nevermindjim
