Am reconsidering vinyl as a window frame option and am looking at Pella’s fiberglass…. understand that, for doors, etc. it’s very stable… how about for windows??? Appreciate any feedback… looks like the money isn’t that much different if I s tay with Pella… thanks for any suggestions… Tuna

I installed one Pella fiberglass window in my basement. I was impressed with how sturdy the window was. I have put in wood, vinyl, and aluminum framed windows. The fiberglass unit I think is the most energy efficient and the most well built. There are a number of fiberglass units equal or better than Pella. Millguard, Marvin, and a bunch of Canadian manufactured windows. If you are only going to install one window the effort to get another is not worth it. I would install the Pella window again if I had to do it over. If I was going to install a bunch of windows I would look around.
