Yes, my choice but I do it. DanT
Has not come up yet, but that's an excellent question.
I guess if it was in the course of a work day I would pay. If he is off that day or scheduled the visit on his day off I would not pay.
But we do the Early Return to work deal too. February we had a driver riding with our superintendant for about 2-3 weeks. I called it getting coffee for the super. Worked out pretty well all the way around. Driver got pay. He returned earlier than I would have expected. (he had a hernia operation). We even found some productive stuff for him to do
I'd pay it. But it hasn't come up yet for me either. One guy went to the doctors because of a work related injury but he went in the evening and told me about afterward so I didn't pay that one.

I always pay them. You would be amazed how long that injury could go on if they got to get even.Show them that you care, the first step in a workmens comp claim.

The only time a guy who worked for me got hurt, I paid.
One stipulation. He had to go to all of the appointments and do as the Doctor told him.
Lasted less than a week before he blew off the instructions he was given.
