505A-12 Pro-Site Protractor Review
The Pro-Site Protractor combines the functions of a bevel gauge with that of a protractor made for your miter saw
With a miter saw, a 90-degree cut is made with the miter gauge set at 0 degrees, which can be confusing. But now there’s help. The Pro-Site Protractor combines the functions of a bevel gauge with that of a protractor made for your miter saw. When measuring an angle, the black arrows and black outer scale show the miter-saw angle in degrees for a single cut. The red arrow and the red scale give the proper miter-saw angle for both cuts.
Designed by a 30-year veteran of the trade, Mark Shapiro, the Pro-Site Protractor is nicely milled of heavy-duty aluminum. The two legs of the protractor are under slight tension, and the tension can be adjusted with an Allen wrench. A Teflon O-ring smoothly cushions operation of the two aluminum legs.
