I needed to get grungy soap buildup off a dishwasher, and the crud was proving a worthy opponent. I was using a 6-in. by 9-in. Scotch-Brite pad for the job when it occurred to me that if I cut the pad in half, one of the halves would fit perfectly in my palm sander. I did just that, and the results were amazing.
Clamping the pad in place was a little bit clumsy, but doable. Since the chrome-cleaning experience, I’ve used this combination to clean up paint overspray from some cabinets, doors, and trim, with equally good results.
