Bi-Metal Jig Saw Blade
Milwaukee's new tooth design, called Nail guard, keeps nails out ofthe gullet.
Historically, faster-cutting reciprocating-saw blades have suffered from relatively low tooth durability when cutting through nails. That’s because these aggressive blades have fewer teeth per inch, with wider gullets between each tooth. Because the gullets are wide enough to snag the shank of a nail, the tool can start to jump around, or the teeth of the blade can chip off.
Milwaukee has eliminated this problem with a new tooth design called Nail Guard, which keeps nails out of the gullet and engaged with the cutting edge. The design can be found on several lines of Milwaukee’s bimetal blades.
