More on Barns
I would love to be a part of an Amish barn raising someday. Until that happens, I’ll be content to witness one in this time-lapse series.
Penny Miller, the person who created and posted this video on YouTube, used a Canon 60d Camera and a Pixel TW-282/E3 Wireless remote timer set at 20 second intervals. She took 1600 images, from 7:00am until 5:00pm, and compressed the 10 hours into 3 minutes and 30 seconds.

Thanks for the post! My husband ScottMiller created this time-lapse video, at the time, we didn't think anything of posting it to an already existing youtube account I had. But now I'm getting credit for it, which I'm OK with, but it doesn't exactly seem fair;) Anyways, We were extremely flattered that you posted his video and wanted to say Thank you!! FineHomebuilding has always been the best source for construction-minded people! You guys are the BEST!!
Two thoughts-
Where's OSHA when you need 'em?
Isn't "Amish Time Lapse Video" kind of an oxymoron?
This is the second time ive seen this stupid video. I have worked in Northeast ohio as a carpenter, framed a lot of houses and sure as hell dont want to amish on fine homebuilding or fine woodworking. Great bunch of people they are. They have a bunch of kids they can barely care for,put them to work for themselves for free and drive the quality of work and everyones ability to make a living down. I wood rather see popsicle stick art be the topic of next months Fine woodworking than this crap.
Pah! Some people just gotta complain. I was expecting a dinky little backyard barn, so I found this amazing to watch.
Penny Miller, thanks for the good words on the magazine. TimothyPatrick, I'm sorry you don't seem to like the Amish. It's still a really cool time lapse, though.
