Webinar March 10 on I-Joist Assemblies

APA–The Engineered Wood Association will host a free webinar March 10 to discuss fire-prevention recommendations in the International Residential Code for residential floor systems.

The one-hour session begins at 8 a.m. Pacific Daylight Time (11 a.m. Eastern). If you’re interested, you can register online.

The webinar will put extra emphasis on protecting I-joists from fire. Among topics to be discussed are gypsum-board ceiling membranes, gypsum board applied directly to I-joist flanges and webs, ceramic-fiber blankets, mineral-wood insulation, and fire-protective coatings.
