Jill Fuerstneau Sousa is an architect in Tacoma, Wash. She designs new homes, many of them timber-framed, and remodels older homes throughout Puget Sound. Her designs reflect her interest in vernacular architecture and in construction techniques. When not at the drawing board (computer, actually), she is running around, sometimes for exercise and sometimes to catch up to her twin sons.
