I am getting ready to install a floor for the apartment over a shop that I am building and need some advice. The flooring is #1 2×6 pine, trusses are 24″ O.C. The local air tool supplier wants to rent me a stapler that will shoot 2″ staples. This doesn’t seem to be long enough. It looks as if it will put only 1/2″ into the trusses. If 2″ is the longest staple or nail I can use would it be a good idea to use construction adhesive on each truss to make sure that the floor stays put? Suggestions? Thanks, Pat [email protected]
