1/2 or 5/8 drywall to hold $150,000 car?
Just wondering what kind of hanger you would use, and what thickness drywall you would recommend for this project – I’m sure you guys do this sort of thing all the time!
Also, do I need to pull a permit for this at the Building Dept. or the DMV?

Doncha wish your girlfriend was hot like me?
Not a bad idea.
I always saw my F-Ferrari as an art bargain.
Others pay 20 M for a small rag and few strokes of paint.
But...no skylight :(
Thanks for the decorating tip of the century.

If you read the story, they guy built this house WITH a skylight big enough to drop the car in from the top. He had this planned for a long time!
So how big a skylight you need for an F150?Rebuilding my home in Cypress, CA

What interests me most is not the car, but that it was designed and conceived by AN ARCHITECT. This idea here seems to represent yet another one of their ideas that shows they may know how to design but not how to build. How many times have you read a blueprint and architectural spec only to see it's either convoluted or impossible? The car here is one more example.
The fact is Drywall Glue is all you need to hold it up. Then it needs to be taped to help hold it flat against the wall.
