I am looking for a software package that will produce good quality renderings of custom built cabinets. Ive been looking at 20/20 and I am under the impression that it may be a good tool for kitchen design but maybe not so much for custom work.
I have a full blown version of autocad 04′ which I have become very proficient with but I find it time consuming to produce a concept drawing. I dont like to spend a lot of time before securing a project with a deposit but I need a tool that will show potential customers what they will get
Does anyone here know 20/20 or can anyone point me to another product?

You might want to check out Solidworks. You could design cabinent components and then create assemblies from those components for each project. It runs about 3-4k for a seat.

I've never used it, but have heard excellent reviews.
Check out http://www.garymkatz.com most of his drawings are done with sketch up. One example http://www.garymkatz.com/TrimTechniques/Mantel-2005.Craftsman/07-CraftsmanMantel.jpg

I would second the suggestion about looking at SketchUp. I've used it for the last year or so, and I think it's fantastic.
I can do everything from concept rendering to shop drawings that my cabinet guy can work from.
If these links work, this ought to keep you reading for the rest
of the night.
