Especially since the 50th sheet would make a nice round 1600 square feet. Can't wait to hear this.

*The long version is,"Its based height of the banded hacks. The combination of multiple Hacks like two high is dictated by the trucking industry. 49 sheets of 7/16" plus 1-1/2" sleepers is just under 24" add 4 hacks and you get just under 8'. This on a 54" flat bed, the highest and you'll come in at 12'6". In most cities your max height is 13' and 13'6" on the highways. Any way the shipping height is what determines lumber hacks." That is from my dad, a fourty year teamster. AE
*Impressive!Any war stories about the Teamsters?
*I would have thought it was something to do with the weight.
*What about hot dogs? 10 to a pack, and only 8 buns?
*...or blondes......a complete human body, yet only half a brain...Incoming!...
*I'll ask the local plywood mills here and see what they say. I have some neighbors that work in the mills, and if any one would know, they would.James DuHamel
*Hey Mongo:Did you know that Beer contains estrogen? Thats why when Men drink too much, they gain weight, giggle and talk too much, and make no sense!
*The only one I really have is when I was part of a strike and local Teamsters honnored our lines. My Dad came out with me to walk the line and the local police were called out. As we walked the picket line a young cop stuck out his night stick right into the path of the line. I think his attempt was to get the line to stop because he loudly proclaimed that if anyone touched it it was assault on an officer and he would arrest them. My dad was three or four back and as he approached yelled out,"Look a limbo" and limboed under the stick. The next few people did the same then a SGT sent the young cop out to another call.It was a laugh. Even the older officers had some fun with it.AE

The only plywood I got in with 45-49 sheets in the unit was 3/4 . 5/8 had 56 and 1/2 had 70 sheets per unit. OSB and waferboards had more sheets per unit [7/16 had 80-90 sheets] The size of the units was determined by weight. Years ago a unit of precut studs only had 196 pieces. Now they have 325 and up.[they were also 1-5/8 x 3-5/8 dried down to 15% moisture, too] Scott

Rich,
That is too funny. The first thing I did when I read the question was reach for the calculator.
